The research aims to firsthand understand successful national cases of managing urban development files and permits. Selected based on an initial study of online platforms for urban development procedures in various cities, the research focused on three of them – Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, and Saltillo.

To carry out the research, the three selected cities were visited, where interviews were conducted with urban development officials and end-users. The study includes aspects of the planning and implementation process of different electronic platforms, operational aspects, resources, and challenges that platforms face in order to continue operating through different administrations.
