The objective of the research is to gain firsthand knowledge of successful national cases in the management of files and permits for urban development. To achieve this, three cities were selected after an initial analysis of the online platforms used for urban development procedures: Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, and Saltillo.
The research was conducted through visits to these three cities, where interviews were carried out with both urban development officials and the end users of the platforms. The study covers various aspects of the planning and implementation process of the electronic platforms, their operation, available resources, and the challenges they face to continue operating across different administrations.
